Please not here. Not here.

I will speak at a hearing tomorrow to decide if Lowe’s can plunk a Big Box down in my Cape Cod town of Dennisport, and I will tell how they call me by name at the hardware store, and at the local Agway — where they get whatever I need for the farm, and where Lisa’s daughter is now a year old — and how I get my Christmas tree from Hart’s Farm, and I know their names and they know mine, and the word for all this is “family” — and that’s worth more than any income from a Big Box, or traffic patterns, or what have you, because you can’t price tag “family.”  It doesn’t have a number.

And there you have it.
